FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
eGIX, CompUSA Strike Deal on Services and Training
Indy serving as test for new program
that targets REALTORS®
Carmel, Ind., June 14, 2004–Steve Johns, president and CEO of Carmel-based eGIX Inc., today announced that eGIX has partnered with CompUSA’s Commercial Division to offer special deals to eGIX customers and to provide eGIX real estate clients with Continuing Education training.
According to Johns, CompUSA will develop three
web sites for different eGIX client bases. They will be accessible
at www.compusabusiness.com/egix.
These sites will offer significant savings on CompUSA products
and will be geared to the real estate vertical market, general
business users and higher education clients. CompUSA will
reciprocate by referring eGIX telecommunications products
such as high-speed Internet access and One-Number Follow Me
service to business customers in need of such business communications
services.
Additionally, the two will partner to hold regular real estate Continuing Education classes in the training room at the CompUSA store, 8350 Castleton Corner Drive in Indianapolis. eGIX has specific experience serving the communications needs of REALTORS. The sessions will be communications product training geared towards a real estate audience.
Johns stated that this arrangement is beginning in Indianapolis and could be a model for CompUSA stores nationwide, as eGIX and CompUSA both support customers throughout the United States. The program is beginning here because of the Carmel location of eGIX’s headquarters.
According to Matt Coffey, business sales manager at CompUSA, this deal will benefit all parties involved. “We are pleased to be able to offer expanded communications services to our customers and expose more real estate professionals to our products,” said Coffey. “Real estate customers, on the other hand will get greatly discounted products and easy access to training.”
